Director of Education
Kristy Nielson is the Director of Education. Kristy has worked at MHSC for 23 years in a variety of capacities. She has 10 years of academic experience teaching nursing school at both WWCC and the University of Wyoming. Kristy is currently adjunct nursing faculty at the University of Wyoming School of Nursing.
Kristy obtained a bachelor’s degree in Community Health Administration in 1980 and a bachelor’s in Nursing from Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota, in 1982. She received her master’s in Nursing Administration from St. Joseph’s College of Maine in 2007. Kristy has held national certifications in Medical-Surgical nursing, Infusion nursing, and maintains a current national certification in Critical Care nursing. In 2002, she had the wonderful opportunity to publish a chapter in a nursing textbook.
Kristy lives in Rock Springs with her husband. She has a daughter and son both in college.
