There are many ways to give to the MHSC Foundation. We have outlined below the many opportunities to donate. Unrestricted Donation Your gift will be directed to the area of greatest need. Area of Special Interest
Perhaps you or a loved one has been affected by an illness or injury. This personal experience may lead you to want to designate what area your gift will fund. Charitable Gift of Cash A gift of cash prior to December 31st could save you money at tax filing time since it qualifies you for a charitable income tax deduction if you itemize your tax return. Memorial and Honorary Gifts Memorial gifts are designed to commemorate friends, family members, or acquaintances. Honorary gifts can be a distinctive way of recognizing someone at any of life’s great milestones. You can make a memorial or honorary gift to the Foundation’s general fund, or you can specify an area particular to your desire. Endowment Fund Endowments are a way to restrict the principal of your gift requiring us to only use the investment income they generate. This is an attractive way to make a permanent contribution. Matching Gifts Many employers have matching gift programs where they match the employees’ gift by a certain percentage up to one hundred percent. Please check with your employer before you make a donation to see if they participate in a matching gift program.
